A lot of interesting historical markers on this section of the Buckeye Trail: from when the Shawnee controlled the area… through the American wars against the British… through the time of Johnny Appleseed… through the Civil War… and into the present. More than half of the miles on this section were Towpath Trails, and it was beautiful to follow the path of the Mighty Maumee River. I’m keeping up with posting about my journey on Eric Asp dot com — so you can check that out for more pictures and stories… but in any event, it feels good to have a longer night of rest ahead of me tonight!
