I read there was one route to the top that was class 4, meaning you don’t need gear but it had several pitches. I think it was to the left. From topographic maps it looked like there was a saddle in the back, which I had hoped would be gentler. As you can see, that is NOT a saddle lmao

Once I went off Indian hollow trail I followed this granite slide all the way up until I neared the top of the ridge. Any sections with dirt or sand were difficult as it would give out and slide so that slowed me down a bit. Near the top I had to step on rocks only (the ones that wouldn’t give way) and dodge vegetation until I peaked on the granite ridge. I’ll have to come back sometime with a climbing partner, gear, and knowledge I don’t possess, and try that left route. It looks like you really want to be roped in for it (especially with the condition of the tread on my hiking boots)

Then there was this cow. It ran forwards fast and stopped, looking at me. Then it ran forwards further, turned on a dime, came back and stopped to stare at me again. I couldn’t tell if it was a young bull or a sow but I figured if it was a bull I must’ve pissed it off because I think I’d clapped or something. I decided it was just a sow that had been spooked

Update: I don’t see udders that may have been a bull. Homie was chill tho
