Round 2 (ft. Wind)

For those who care: Had this in mind for the past couple of days. I knew the forecast looked pretty tough, but I wasn’t gonna let it stop me from coming up. Wind in my face the entire first ten miles had me wanting to turn around the whole time. I battled that for a while, until I was eventually half way. Definitely was a little fearful of frostbite on my face and fingers, but I knew if I just kept moving I’d be okay. I eventually found my groove around mile 12 when I met Danielle and Chris, who asked me if I needed anything and provided incredible support. Shoutout the gang! I was grooving until mile 17 when I got a little tired. I was unaware that I was running at a sub 8 pace but I think I sped up with every wind gust to generate more body heat. I was tested today, and you never know what you can do until you are tested. Still better than a treadmill to me😉. Keeping the miles steadily increasing on a weekly basis basis. Achilles is a little tender so we’re monitoring that. I hate the feeling before I go on a run. Every day, I dread running. And then I run, and I feel great. Weird how that works. Anyways, I brought my phone this time for safety reasons and to document the adventure. Writing this at knife edge brewing with a well deserved pizza and brown ale, my first bev in a hot minute
