Yesterday my coach told me to just think about the best thing that could happen and I did and then it did 🥹

I was like a chicken lost in space before quarterfinal almost leaving on Klara’s skis but Luka saved the day with the swap. 

Felt strong on the first climb and happy with my technique on the icy steep off camber ski slope, at the top my upper body hurt just as much as my legs. As I left second lap transition a judge yelled at me to go back because I left I skin. I went back and got so annoyed with losing so much time but then pushed as hard as I could to save what was left to save. Only to realize in the finish that it wasn’t my skin and I shouldn’t have been told to go back. We complained and they looked at the video then gave me back the seconds I lost backtracking. I wish I didn’t get so upset as I probably wasted as much energy being mad as I did racing and it was all solved. 

I thought I was gonna have nothing left for the final but surprised myself with positive splits; 9:37Q, 9:30F1, 9:28F2. 

Was going back and forth with 🇺🇸 but in the end John edged us out. P12 for us and a stepping stone towards the big goal of the year.
